Presenting partner · monthly retainer

Your in-ears on the artists people already watch.

A monthly retainer that puts the Wave Pro 2 on the working musicians in our rooms, records one original piece of music a month on it, gives Soundbrenner one produced night a month in the Live Room, and turns all of it into social video.

Where the content comes from

A room full of working artists, with cameras already rolling.

The Recording Club is a members' studio and live room at 1660 9th Street, Santa Monica. Working musicians, producers and touring players rehearse, record and perform here every week. BBC Radio 1 recorded a Live Lounge in the building this year. Darryl Jones of the Rolling Stones records here.

You already know one of our founders: Greg Spero's review opens your Wave Pro 2 product page. The other players quoted on that page are Los Angeles touring and session musicians, and that is exactly who our membership is.

You already pay video creators on monthly retainers with guaranteed compensation, and your own site says creativity matters more than follower count. This is that same arrangement at studio scale: a room, a crew and a roster of artists instead of one creator, and one person to call.

The retainer

What lands every month.

Six things, on a fixed fee, run by one point of contact. Nothing here needs a Soundbrenner staff member in the room.

A Soundbrenner Night

One produced event a month in the Live Room, presented by Soundbrenner. We book the artists, run the room, invite the audience, and film it on eight cameras with multitrack audio. You get a full edited long cut and the raw ISO on request.

The monthly recording

One original piece of music a month, recorded in the studio by a Club artist wearing the Wave Pro 2, with the session and the story around it filmed. Enough material for eight to ten social videos.

Post production

Up to twenty hours of post production a month for social content, cut for your channels and delivered ready to post. Or, if you would rather cut it in house, we send the files over and the twenty hours stay in reserve.

Instagram collab posts

Four Instagram collab posts a month from the Club's account with Soundbrenner tagged as co-author, so each post lands on both feeds with both names above it. The artist co-authors where they agree.

The house in-ears, and everything else

The Wave Pro 2 becomes the in-ear monitor of the Club, on stage at every members' night, at the piano, on the drum riser, in the rehearsal room. Soundbrenner on the LED wall at every other Club event, roughly six to eight nights a month, plus a demo station in the lounge where members try the Wave Pro 2 and the Core 2.

Exclusivity, reviews and reporting

No other in-ear monitor or wearable metronome brand on our stages, in the lounge or in the content we deliver to you for the term. Artist reviews whenever an artist wants to give one, artist approved and cleared for ads. A one page report each month. Jacob Dennis is your single contact.

The monthly recording

One original piece of music a month, made on your in-ears.

Each month an artist from the Club records an original piece in the studio wearing the Wave Pro 2. We film the session and the story around it: arriving, setting up, the first take, the moment it lands. That one day becomes eight to ten social videos: the performance, the process, and the artist talking about how it felt in their ears.

Twenty hours of post production a month are included, which is enough to cut that session and the Soundbrenner Night into finished social video. If your team in Hong Kong would rather cut it themselves, we send the files instead.

A Soundbrenner Night, once a month.

Presented in your name, booked and run by us, filmed from every angle. The crowd stands in a circle around the band, and the band is wearing your product.

Live Room · the LED wallNights like this already go out on the Club's Instagram. With a collab tag they go out on yours at the same time.

Instagram collab posts

Posted from our account, showing on yours.

An Instagram collab post is one post with two authors. Four times a month a Soundbrenner piece goes out from the Club's account with Soundbrenner tagged as co-author. It shows on our grid and on yours at the same moment, with both names on it, and every like and comment counts for both accounts.

Where an artist agrees, their session goes out as a three way collab: the artist, the Club and Soundbrenner on one post. Their followers see it, ours see it, yours see it, and the likes and comments pool in one place.

Artist reviews

When an artist wants to say it on camera, we film it.

We do not promise a number of reviews, because a review you can trust cannot be scheduled. What we do is put the Wave Pro 2 on working players every week. When one of them wants to talk about it, we film a short unscripted piece in the room, the artist approves the cut, and you get it with a written clearance for twelve months of paid and organic use. Some months that will happen more than once. Some months it will not, and we will tell you which.

Why this instead of a freelancer

A camera is the cheap part.

Anyone can send a videographer to an event. What a videographer cannot bring is the event itself, the artists in it, an audience of musicians, multitrack audio that makes an in-ear monitor sound like something, and original music you have the rights to use. All of that is in the building already. The fee covers the whole operation every month, and the Wave Pro is the product your own site calls by far the most successful in Soundbrenner's history, so it deserves the whole operation.

You also get the same crew each time, so the second month is better than the first and the sixth is better than the second.

Investment

$20,000

per month, six month term

Invoiced monthly in advance. Each monthly recording comes with a written licence, signed by the artist, for twelve months of paid and organic use on Soundbrenner channels. Product is provided in kind on top of the fee: eight Wave Pro 2 to start and twelve once your next batch is in, plus four Core 2, as the working stock for the stage, the demo station and the recording. Renews month to month after six months. Crew, crew travel and venue hire are all included; there are no add-on fees for a normal month.

Next step

Say yes and we book the first night.

Reply to Jacob with a start month and we send a one page agreement, a date for the first Soundbrenner Night and the first artist for the recording. The first session can happen the same month your next Wave Pro 2 batch lands.
